Animal Soul Speak – How to….

 Animal Soul Speak Introduction ~

In our society, we spend most of our waking hours looking at our lives and our world through filters that are a construct based on western philosophical tradition. Western philosophy is grounded on an individual’s rights, and that truth is something that needs to be found and proven. This philosophy is a complete juxtaposition to the eastern philosophy where truth is a given, and the attempt is to find a balance between all members of a society that includes the individual. (1)

Western tradition has given us many truths that we accept as fact. One of these facts is how our brains function and that we are either left or right brain dominant with no in between. We are told that the left and right sides of our brains work differently. The focus of the left side of our brain is verbal and processes the information we receive in an analytical (logical) and sequential order. Our left brain looks at all the pieces of information individually then puts them together to get the whole picture. The right side of the brain works in the opposite way.   Right brain focus looks at the whole visual picture and then processes the information intuitively and simultaneously. After this process occurs, it looks then to individual details. (1)

Neuroscience research has shown that while there are kernels of truth in this “fact” about left and right brain function and dominance the reality is both hemispheres of our brains work together in order for us to process information. (2) A good example of this is language processing. Our left brain does the bulk of the verbal processing, but the right brain participates in this by interpreting verbal intonation and emphasis. (3) Neuroscience has also proven another fact is a myth. We are not born with a finite number of neural cells with no ability for our brains to generate new cells. (4) The term neuroplasticity refers to our brain’s ability to generate new neural cells and new pathways of organizing information. (5) As we age it may not be as easy it was when we were younger but we still have the ability.

All of this leads me to believe there is so much we don’t know about brain function, our world, life on other planets, the afterlife, and our very souls. Just because we cannot prove something scientifically does not mean it does not exist. I have to trust and in that trust comes my personal truth(s). My personal truth is a view where black and white reality does exist but an acceptance that there are many more realities (shades of gray) that co-exist alongside the literal. It is within these shades of gray where I believe Animal Soul Speak (animal communication) dwells.

Here now are the lessons I learned to communicate telepathically with individual animals.

Animal Soul Speak – How to

When I took my first seminar on animal communication, there were a series of exercises that prepared me to begin learning how to connect telepathically with an individual animal soul.

The first lesson was learning Focus and Observation. Focus involves meditation that will allow you to quiet your mind’s inner chatter and begin to make a connection. I needed either a picture of the animal or the actual animal I wanted to speak to present with me (in my case the photograph even to this day works best for me). I was also instructed to have a notebook (journal) and a pencil to jot down what I may receive.

1)   Focus

The best way for you to do this is go to go somewhere quiet where there are no distractions. Once you have quieted yourself address your attention to the animal.

2)   Observe him or her.

Notice the fur, the body, the eyes, and their breathing.

What do you notice most about the animal the way it moves, the way it breathes, the way it looks at you? Just be with them.

When you feel ready write down your observation and experience in your notebook.

It is very important at this stage not to “judge” anything. There is no right or wrong; it just is what it is. If your thoughts are running rampant at this point, don’t fret. Be patient with yourself, it gets easier the more you practice.

The second lesson is much like the first, with one additional step that of Connection.

1)   Focus

2)   Observe

3)   Connect

This time address your subject and say a simple “hello.”

It is possible you will get a feeling, a vision, a vibration, voice, smell, almost anything in acknowledgment in return from your subject.

Write about your experience in your journal in a non-judgmental fashion.

The third exercise is much like the first two.

1)   Focus

2)   Observe

3)   Connect as you did before, but this time ask a simple question of your subject.

What is your favorite color? What is your favorite toy? This question is entirely up to you.

Write about your experience in your journal.

At this point, you are probably wondering about Advanced Exercises. There are none. Once you get these basics down where you go next is entirely up to you. The more you practice you will find that you may be speaking to a cat on a matter of philosophy or perhaps connecting with a beloved pet that has crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.

Remember as you are learning and practicing this new skill you may find yourself more tired than usual. This is quite common when you learn anything new so be patient with yourself and get plenty of rest in between practice sessions.

Practice is a necessary part of developing your Animal Soul Speak but where can you find animals to speak too? You can converse with your pets, pets of friends, your family, and co-workers. Two important caveats in the beginning of your practice sessions is making sure the animals you speak with have owners that believe interspecies communication is possible and the second is always asking for owner permission to speak with a pet prior to starting the conversation. This is not the time to be challenged by people who might cause you to doubt about what you are doing. What you are seeking from your subject’s guardians is honest support and validation for what you are trying to accomplish. The animals themselves will not have a problem having a conversation with you, but it is their human counterparts with whom you interact that might.

Your gift will change and grow as you progress. When I first started practicing, I saw pictures and symbols in my mind’s eye and felt emotions that I knew were not my own. My strongest modalities are that of clairvoyance and empathy, but I can now work in other psychic modalities as needed depending on my subject’s communication style. Animals have strengths and weaknesses in interspecies communication of this kind and its best to adapt to their style rather than stick with your own. Just remember that in speaking with anyone on a soul level to be prepared for both sophisticated and simple dialogs. Animals are just like our human counterparts in this respect. One style does not fit all. Animals can convey information to us in a variety of different ways. These include the following modalities:

Clairvoyance or Second Sight

The animal may send you a picture of their favorite bowl or toy. They may send you a picture/vision of a past life or their current life. You may be allowed to see through their eyes/perspective and even be able to move through the animal’s physical body seeking an answer to a health problem.

Clairaudience is the ability to hear things that are beyond the range of the ordinary power of hearing, such as voices.

The animal may speak to you in words, or you may hear what they are hearing.

Empathy – You feel the emotion, you feel the physical pain.

It is as simple as that. You know it is coming from them, not from you.

There are additional modalities on the psychic level these are the most common I have found in my practice.

Stumbling blocks on the road

Human emotion can become a stumbling block to communication at times in two ways. The first and foremost is self-doubt, and the other is being too close to a particular situation. Even now almost twenty years after I have been utilizing my Animal Soul Speak skills I question the practice’s validity and its very existence. Questions like, “Is it my overactive imagination?” come into play quite frequently. I am blessed in that when I am ready to throw in the towel and just be “normal” a communication comes along that reaffirms to me that Animal Soul Speak does exist and helping pets and their owners with it has become an important part of what I am here to do in this lifetime.

Being too close to a situation involving my animals or others where I am directly involved can be difficult to overcome. A friend had two of her three greyhounds killed by a car. Her third greyhound was still missing, and she asked me to try and connect with the missing dog. I could not get the necessary emotional distance and objectivity to do this. I had to call on another animal communicator for help who was not involved to help connect with the third dog. I know now when to step back and say, I can’t do this I need help from someone else.

Like our human counterparts sometimes you may not receive anything from your subject. It may be that the animal does not choose to speak with you. This is perfectly okay. They have their good days and bad. Some can even make you feel quite out of sorts. A cat I once spoke too (actually spoke to a lot) enjoyed playing tricks on me. He would hum a little ditty, and when I would ask him a question, he would give me a “picture” which I knew (because I knew his guardian) was the complete opposite of fact. He was a practical joker bar none.

Another stumbling block can be the inability to interpret the message. I had a greyhound that mentioned a word to me in a foreign language. This dog was very ill and not doing well. She was at an animal hospital with possible cancer. However, the tests had not come back yet. To find the meaning of the word she conveyed to me I went racing to the local library for an answer. I went through some English (to you name it) foreign language dictionaries until I found the word. I kept checking in with the dog for guidance.   I found the word in a Hebrew dictionary. The word “Sheol”, was the name given to the Jewish underworld where souls were said to go after passing away. Holly, the greyhound, passed away that night on her own with no human intervention. Many other animals I have spoken to have given me messages that were completely undecipherable. In these cases, I had could only convey what I received to the animal’s guardian and hoped they could understand the message.

In conclusion:

This is my pay-it- forward to all of those who love animals and seek to deepen their relationship with them. I hope that in this sharing I have helped you to learn and share what I experience every day. It is one of the greatest gifts I have ever received.
